Lettuce is a green leafy vegetable with crisp leaves which grows in a spherical head resembling a cabbage. The leaves on the outside tend to be green. The leaves in the centre go from pale yellow to nearly whitish as you move closer and closer to the centre of the head with the sweetest leaves in the centre of the head.
Lettuce is served in salads with oil dressings. Consuming raw lettuce is also common in certain western countries. The Iceberg lettuce is sweet and mild. It has a crispy and crunchy taste. The lettuce leaves are perfect every kind of salad dressing.
